On November 9, the representatives of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) participated in the seminar of the EUROSAI Working Group on IT (ITWG) on the topic: “Prepare for impact: Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) that identify cybernetic risks”.
The event was organized by Estonia's supreme audit institution, which holds the presidency of the Working Group, and was attended by about 156 representatives from 30 SAIs.
Several topics were discussed during the discussions, such as: strategic perspective and challenges of European cyber security policy, critical cyber infrastructure - Estonia's point of view, application of an enterprise framework for information security of micro-enterprises, cyber security risk management. At the same time, the audit experiences in the field of cyber security from the SAIs of Germany, Slovenia, Estonia and Switzerland were presented. The ITWG Group members participated in a moderate strategic simulation exercise on emerging cybersecurity issues.
The field is also of major interest to the Court of Accounts, which is to examine the possibility and appropriateness of planning and conducting an audit in this regard.
