The President of the Court of Accounts participates in the annual European Integration Forum

The main challenges of the Republic of Moldova on the path of European integration are discussed by the participants of the eighth edition of the annual European Integration Forum of the Republic of Moldova.

The team of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM), led by Marian Lupu, President of the institution, also participates in the event at the invitation of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Moldova (FES), the Association for Foreign Policy of Moldova (AFP) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova.

The participants in the event address a number of important topics, such as the challenges of relaunching and deepening Moldova's partnership with the EU, implementing the Association Agreement and the European integration reform agenda, ensuring the integrity and independence of the judiciary and combating high-level corruption as a condition essential for a successful European integration process, etc.

In the context of the adhesions for connecting the external public audit to the rigors of the international profile standards, stipulated in art. 49 of the Association Agreement, the forum is of practical importance for the Court of Accounts, providing a platform for addressing national priorities in the dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union.

We mention that, through the activities of development and consolidation of the external public audit in the Republic of Moldova, the Court of Accounts contributes to the implementation of the Association Agreement, according to the standards stipulated in this important document of the European course of the country.
