A series of workshops on the exchange of experience in auditing information systems was organized, between November 4-8, in a teleconference format.
The workshops were organized by the Latvian State Audit Office, in the context of the support provided to the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) in strengthening the audit capacity of information technologies (IT).
Thus, the first workshops were focused on the audit of information systems, including in the evaluation of general controls and those of the application of an IS, the Latvian experts presenting concrete examples from the audit practice. The trainings focused on both theoretical and practical aspects, offering examples on each component audited.
At the same time, in the next experience exchange workshops, planned in November, the Latvian auditors will provide consultations and suggestions to the audit team of the Court of Accounts performing the performance audit of the Automated Information System for Management and Issuance of Permissive Acts (AIS MIPA).
