During the period of 2-4 March 2015, the Spanish experts, Beatriz Gonzalez Betancort and Domingo García Diez, are in a work mission to Chisinau, in the context of the Twinning Project, Component 1 "Strengthen the audit capacities of the CoA", the activity "Development and consolidation of CoA capacities to conduct performance/system audits and audit of EU funds with the support of experts and their participation in audit missions, in accordance with the new development methodological and regulatory norms".
In the mission are scheduled discussions and workshops with pilot audit teams (the audit of pension system, EU funds). Spanish experts give consultations and practice support for all employers of the Court of Accounts, to develop actions that are in the process of pilot audit missions and parts support.
The general objective of the Twinning Project, launched in 2014, "Consolidation and Strengthening the External Public Audit in the Republic of Moldova" is to improve accountability and public finance management in the country by strengthening the capacity of external audit in accordance with the international standards and best European practices.
In the context of the Twinning Project, funded by the European Union, the beneficiary of which is the Court of Accounts, there are planned four pilot-audits in the following areas: capital investments, pensions system, public revenue management system and EU funds.
