One year from the appointment

On 8th July 2012, five Members of the Court of Accounts have reached one year of their activity at the CoA's Members. Tudor Soitu, Valeriu Chitan, Angela Pascaru, Ion Sturzu and Gheorghe Trocin have been appointed in the function by the Resolution of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova no. 131, signed on July, 8, 2011.

By the same Resolution, Tudor Şoitu has been appointed as Vice-president of the Court of Accounts. It was a successful year of activity for the supreme audit institution from Moldova, marked by aspirations and achievements, by improvement and modernization of working methods, and by exchange of international experiences.

The performances and achievements registered by the Court of Accounts are due, first of all, to the professionalism and experience of the management of the CoA.

Dear Colleagues, with this wonderful occasion, we congratulate you sincerely and wish you new achievements in your important activity of state's interest protection and in the monitoring of formation, administration and use of the public financial resources, as well as in management of the public patrimony of the Republic of Moldova.

NOTE:

Serafim Urechean, the President of the CoA, was appointed in his function by the Parliament Resolution No. 83, signed on April, 21, 2011. Ecaterina Paknehad, the Member of the CoA, was appointed in her function by the Parliament Resolution No. 230-XVI, signed on November, 2, 2007.

The CoA's Plenum is a collegial body, consisting of 7 Members, including the President and the Vice-president of CoA. The CoA's Members are appointed by the Parliament for a period of 5 years, at the CoA's President proposal, with the majority vote of the deputies.

The Vice-president of the Court of Accounts is appointed by the Parliament, at the CoA's President proposal.
