EUROSAI strategic directions addressed at the meeting of the Heads of the European Supreme Audit Institutions

EUROSAI’s President - Miloslav Kala brought together the Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) to discuss the visions for the future of EUROSAI in the context of the 2024-2030 Strategic Plan.

The meeting was held today, 24 May, on the second day of the EUROSAI Prague Post-Congress event, hosted by the EUROSAI Presidency on 23-25 ​​May. The President of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM), Marian Lupu, participated, together with the heads of about 40 SAIs within EUROSAI, in the discussions and exchange of views on the future objectives and priority development directions of the international organization.

The topics of interest included challenges related to technology development, environmental sustainability and climate issues, SAI relevance to stakeholders and the impact of audit work, the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and humanitarian and financial crises, strengthening partnerships and cooperation between EUROSAI members and external stakeholders.

We mention that, at the moment, EOROSAI is implementing the Strategic Plan for the period 2017-2024, focused on two strategic pillars: supporting efficient, innovative and relevant audits by promoting and boosting professional cooperation; supporting SAIs to meet new opportunities and challenges by supporting and facilitating the development of their institutional capacities.
