The CoARM's auditors participated in cyber security training

On May 18-19, a group of employees of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) participated in a training program in the field of cyber security. The training session was organized by the Public Institution "Information Technology and Cyber ​​Security Service" (ITCSS), with the support of the international organization CRDF Global, funded by the US State Department. The course was conducted online, with the participation of about 700 officials from public institutions.

The purpose of the training session was to help strengthen the cyber resilience capacities of central public authorities, as well as to raise public awareness of current cyber threats.

Thus, in the training program: "Cyber ​​Hygiene Workshop for Governance", participants were informed about best practices in cybersecurity and hygiene for civil servants, the types of social engineering and how to provide a response to each one. Officials also learned how to protect their information and devices, as well as watched live hacking demonstrations.

According to the agenda, in several training sessions, were addressed topics related to: types of social engineering, the consequences of non-compliance with simple digital security rules were addressed; types of two-factor authentication; data encryption; protection of information and devices.

In the context of increasingly frequent and complex cyber threats, especially in the recent time, training in this area is of particular importance and contributes to strengthening the cyber resilience capacity of public authorities, as well as raising awareness of current cyber threats among civil servants.

We note that CRDF Global is an international organization with experience in the development and management of comprehensive and sustainable cyber security programs and the strengthening of cyber infrastructure. The institution is a global network with multiple partnerships designed to strengthen the technical capabilities of each partner country and build resilient responses to cyber-attacks.
