The Swedish National Audit Office visits the Court of Accounts of Moldova

This week the Court of Accounts performs a training workshop with participation of the Swedish National Audit Office (SNAO).                                                                                                              

The subjects addressed during these working days focus on the state budget audit, social security budget and Mandatory Health Insurance Fund for 2009, while the key topics are related to the assessment of internal control systems, including management accountability for ensuring internal control. There have been addressed such matters as general audit strategy and state budget audit plan, state social insurance budget and their effects on audit procedures to be carried out.                                                                                                                                                       

Audits should conclude with a standardized opinion on the veracity and reliability of the Government reports’ financial statements. This is done for the first time, is a standard action provisioned by the new Law on the Court of Accounts and is to be presented to Parliament.

Project Coordinator from the side of SNAO  mission is Charlotta Fagring, Emma Ostaker’s successor, recently appointed to this position. SNAOS mission frequently organizes trainings for employees of the Court of Accounts, in accordance with the bilateral agreement signed on December 17, 2009 in Stockholm.
