The main objective of the second phase of the project was the continuous development of the basic platform for a modern audit institution within the CoA.
The following subjects were brought up for discussion: public financial management reform in Moldova, development of the Court of Accounts concerning the components supported by the World Bank in the period of January-September 2010, results obtained at the implementation of financial management and control system, internal auditing at the Court of Accounts and other achievements of the Court of Accounts in the period of January-September 2010.
Committee members from both SNAO and the Court of Accounts were satisfied about the achievements obtained by the Court of Accounts during this period.
For the future, members of the Coordination Committee established the following priorities:
- Court of Accounts’ functioning under the new law;
- Ensuring activities’ continuity and sustainability;
- Developing professional standards for the auditors of the Court of Accounts;
- Using a time recording system to improve planning and using the resources of the Court of Accounts;
- International promotion of the Court of Accounts.
