The Group of Auditors of the Court of Accounts attended the TESIM trainings

On February 28-29, the representatives of the Account Court of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) – Alexandru Munteanu , CoARM Member, and the members of the Audit Group from the Supreme Audit Institution, attended the trainings dedicated to the new trans-border, transnational and interregional (Interreg) Cooperation Programs for the 2021-2027 period.

The trainings were held by the State Chancellery, with the aid of Technical Assistance for Implementing and Program Management ENI CBC (TESIM), together with the Program Management Authorities form Romania and Hungary, meeting up the members of the national Working Group for coordinating these programs implementation. The trainings participants were informed about the specifics of the procedures related to the new 2021-2027 Program, and about the national authorities’ responsibilities.

Good to mention that in 2023, the Republic of Moldova signed and ratified the Financing Agreement with the European Commission for Interreg NEXT Romania-Republic of Moldova Programme 2021-2027, the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027, the Interreg Danube Region Programme 2021-2027. On December 15, 2023, the European Commission modified eight Interreg Programmes for the Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, changes being referred as to distributing additional funds amongst those eight programmes, as well as the new priorities. Also, the Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova allied to other two interregional Interreg Programs: Interreg Europe Programme 2021-2027 and Urbact Programme.

The objective of the trans-border, transnational and interregional cooperation programmes is to solve, in common with EU member states, the problems and challenges in the regions, and to emphasize the economic, social and territorial cooperation and cohesion between the states for a balanced development.
