The Court of Accounts presented the reports on the execution of the budgets for 2022 in the plenary session of the Parliament

The Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) on June 9, presented to the plenary session of the Parliament the Financial Audit Report on the Government’s Report on the execution of the state budget (SB) for 2022, the Financial Audit Report of the Government’s Report on the execution of the state social insurance budget (SSIB) in 2022 and the Financial Audit Report of the Government's Report on the Execution of the Mandatory Medical Assistance Insurance Funds (MMAIF) in 2022.

The reports of the Court of Accounts were examined together with the hearing of the respective reports of the Government, presented by the audited entities, as well as the reports and co-reports of the relevant parliamentary committees, including the Public Finance Control Committee.

Tatiana Șevciuc, Member of the CoARM, reported in the plenary session of the Legislature about the most relevant findings of the audit that were the basis for formulating the general conclusions on the Government’s Report on the execution of the state budget. In this context, Ms. Șevciuc mentioned that the Government’s Report on the execution of the state budget, for the budget exercise ended on December 31, 2022, provides, under all significant aspects, a correct and faithful picture regarding the execution of the budget, according to the applicable financial reporting framework.

The CoARM’s Member Sergiu Știrbu spoke about the main findings and recommendations of the CoARM in the context of the financial audits of the Government's reports on the execution of SSIB and MMAIF.

The Court of Accounts concluded that, emerging from the findings presented and taking into account the established materiality threshold, the Government’s Report on the execution of the SSIB provides, under all significant aspects, a correct and faithful picture, according to the applicable financial reporting framework. Concerning the Financial Audit Report of the Government’s Report on the execution of MMAIF in 2022, the CoARM issued a qualified opinion, audit recommendations being submitted, aimed at increasing the population's access to state-guaranteed medical services and the quality of the services provided.

We mention that during the meeting, the Parliament approved Decisions on the approval of the Government's reports on the execution of the SB, SSIB, MMAIF.
