Representatives of the Court of Accounts of Republic of Moldova will attend a workshop on Audit of IT Projects, held by the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF), during February 20-22 in Ljubljana, Slovenia

Mr. George Antoci (vice-director of Performance Audit Department) and  Mr. Lilian Ungureanu (public auditor, state controller) will take part in a specialized workshop on Audit of IT Projects, during the period  February 20-22, 2012 held by the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF), in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

This workshop was organized for the employees of Supreme Audit Institutions as well as other types of public employees responsible for the Audit of IT.  The workshop is a mixture of theoretical and practical examples that will focus on training and designing technology projects. Thus, it will allow participants to understand and perform Audit IT projects.

Topics of discussion will align on:

• definitions and characteristics of IT projects;
• risks in IT projects;

• audit approach for IT projects.

The workshop will be attended by representatives from the Netherlands Ministry of Finance, who will present definitions and basic characteristics of major IT projects. The workshop participants will identify the type of and methods used to IT audit projects that will contribute to the strengthening of risk management and IT audit projects knowledge.
