Monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations, discussed with civil society

The compliance of public procurement, through the lens of the decisions of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM), was discussed during a meeting with the representatives of the non-governmental organization Transparency International Moldova (TI Moldova), organized on August 16.

The meeting was organized at the request of TI Moldova, which is currently monitoring the implementation process of the CoARM’s decisions regarding public procurement compliance in a number of ministries, approved during 2020-2021, as well as the cooperation with law enforcement bodies in the examination of materials regarding the suspicions of fraud and corruption.

Andrei Munteanu, Member of the CoARM, as well as other officials from the Court of Accounts, informed about the process of monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations, implemented within the institution, the ways of working with the audited entities, as well as about the procedures and practices of working with legal authorities.

Ianina Spinei, the representative of the non-governmental organization, communicated about the intention of TI Moldova to expand the area of ​​collaboration with the CoARM, by launching new initiatives, including monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations.
