CoARM’s auditors benefited from internal training on financial audit methodology

In order to have quality audits, it is necessary to apply effectively the audit methodology of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM).

Thus, the CoARM’s auditors benefited from internal training, held today, November 3, online.

The generic of the training session was "Presentation of standardized planning stage documents in adjusted/amended financial audits (implemented for the audit cycle 2023)".

The purpose of this training was to directly support the incorporation of financial audit methodology into the work of financial audit engagements, to provide additional guidance on the types of issues auditors should focus on.

The methodological guidelines with reference to the documentation of the planning stage in the financial audit are undertaken as a direct response to the challenges auditors encounter in carrying out the financial audit. Thus, about 80 CoARM’s auditors were informed about the adjustments made in the standardized documents of the planning stage in the context of the financial audit.

The participants of the training session were informed about the identification and assessment of risks, examples of general controls of IT systems, etc.

We should mention that the training took place in the context of the activities to consolidate and improve the audit methodology and its practical application, the requirements being recommended by the international peer review evaluators.
