During the official visit of Serafim Urechean, President of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoA) in Poland on 23 February 2015, the Declaration on Partnership and Cooperation between the National Audit Office of Georgia, the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova, the Supreme Audit Office of Poland and the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine was signed.
The Declaration was signed by the Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions of four countries at the Polish Parliament, in the presence of the Polish speaker Radosław Sikorski.
The Declaration assumes the mutual support of parties in the development of independent state audit in their countries, as is stipulated in 69UN Resolution of December 19, 2014 "Promoting and fostering the efficiency, accountability, effectiveness and transparency of public administration by strengthening supreme audit institutions".
The official visit of the CoA President in Poland, held on 23-25 February, was occasioned by the official ceremony dedicated to celebrating of 96 years of the Supreme Audit Office of Poland.
At the festive ceremony, which took place at the Polish Parliament, Serafim Urechean made a presentation on the following topic "EU perspectives on development, capacity building and activity of SAI of the Republic of Moldova".
Serafim Urechean also visited a regional branch of ISA in Krakow and met with the Governor of the Małopolskie (Viovode) region - Mr. Jerzy Miller, as well with the students of the National School of Public Administration.
