Audit network meeting for cross-border cooperation programs, with the participation of the CoARM’s representatives

The delegation of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM), led by Andrei Munteanu, Member of the CoARM, participated in the 6th Meeting of the audit network related to cross-border cooperation programs, organized by TESIM and financed by the European Union, at Brussels, Belgium.

The event was intended for the representatives of the Audit Authorities of the programs financed through the European Neighborhood Instrument (ENI CBC), being extended to the members of the Group of Auditors from Ukraine and Moldova.

This year's edition focused on the conclusions of the European Commission following the review of the 2020-2021 annual audit reports and opinions, as well as on recommendations for future audit activities. During the event, discussions focused on strengthening anti-fraud measures in projects and improving the management and control system in the 2021-2027 programs.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the European Commission, involved in implementation and audit activities of the mentioned programs. The experts referred to the main provisions of the draft Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council that establish specific provisions for the 2014-2020 cooperation programs, supported by the European Neighborhood Instrument and within the European territorial cooperation objective, following the interruption of the implementation of the program.
