Cooperation between the Court of Accounts of Moldova and the Swedish National Audit Office

Since the SNAO first started to cooperate with the Court of Accounts, we have noticed a number of significant progress in the process of going from control to external audit. The basic foundation for external audit has been laid out in the new law for the Court of Account and in the audit manual. Now, the challenge is to start to implement the new mandate in practice. One step in this process is the pilot attestation audit of the Medical Fund that is being carried out this Spring. This is a mandatory task for the Court according to the new law and there is now a professional and dedicated team working with this assignment. So far the process has been productive and we look forward to continue working with our colleagues in the Court of Accounts.
