The Supreme Audit Institutions of Moldova and Latvia discussed strengthening IT audit capacities

On October 27, the audit teams of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) and the State Audit Office of Latvia met in an online meeting to discuss the prospects for future cooperation.

Emphasis was placed on the support of the Latvian State Audit Office for strengthening the IT audit capacities of the CoARM. In this context, the parties agreed to organize, in November, workshops to exchange experience in the field of information systems audit as well as to provide practical advice in ongoing IT audits for the CoARM’s employees in the profile subdivision.

Also, those responsible for the cooperation aspects of the two institutions discussed the continuation of the support provided by Latvian colleagues next year and examined the possibilities and priority directions of support, the discussions on focused areas will be continued until the end of the year.
