The concept of certification of financial auditors, discussed with SNAO experts

A workshop with the participation of experts from the Swedish National Audit Office (SNAO) and representatives of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) was organized on September 7.

The purpose of the workshop was to discuss the draft concept of the certification process for financial auditors, developed by the Working Group on Certification, established in the context of the implementation of the Cooperation Project between the CoARM and SNAO.

Petru Rotaru, member of the CoARM and leader of Component 1: Certification of financial auditors of the nominated project, presented the draft document, discussing with SNAO experts and members of the Working Group, composed of CoARM’s employees, important aspects of defining the optimal organizational solution of certification.

We mention that, according to the provisions of the Organic Law, the CoARM implemented the certification of the public auditors of the Court of Accounts. In the second stage, the CoARM is to develop and implement the certification of public auditors specializing in financial audit. In this context, the SNAO experts provide support in achieving this goal.
