The auditors of the Court of Accounts discussed the results of the pilot audits

The auditors of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) participated, between September 1-3, in a cycle of workshops, organized within the Technical Assistance Project, funded by the EU.

The workshops were initiated by European expert Kevin Suttie and were attended by the audit teams, who performed mandatory financial audits within the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, as well as within the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

Discussions focused on the “lessons learned” in the context of the support and guidance provided to the teams by the external expert, the discussion of audit quality control reports, and other relevant topics.

The technical assistance, further provided by the EU through the support of the external expert, focuses on activities to improve the capacity of CoARM’s staff to conduct financial and compliance audits according to the internationally recognized public audit standards and EU’s good practice.

The Court of Accounts presented the results of the audits of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development to the Profile Committee
