On November 3-4, the representatives of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) participate in the 5th meeting of the EUROSAI Task Force on Municipality Audit (TFMA). In the context of the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, the meeting takes place in a hybrid format - in the city of Budva, Montenegro, as well as online.
The meeting was also attended by more than 80 representatives from 27 Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs), including Albania, Austria, Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Slovakia, Northern Macedonia, Turkey, Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, etc.
The seminar "Municipal real estate management" organized during the meeting included presentations and discussions of experts. In this context, was also presented the Audit Compendium, prepared by the SAI of Lithuania and Serbia, which summarizes the results of the audits performed by members of the the Task Force on topics connected with municipal property management during 2016-2021.
In addition to the issues of European interest, the meeting also discussed the activities implemented by the EUROSAI Task Force on Municipality Audit and their results, the strategic activity plan and potential new initiatives. During the activities, the Task Force paid attention to the management of the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals within the municipalities.
We mention that the EUROSAI Task Force on Municipality Audit was established in 2016 at the initiative of the National Audit Office of Lithuania, the Chair of the Group since its establishment.
