Maintaining the standards of competence for external public auditors is essential in the work of the Court of Accounts. And this can only be achieved through continuous improvement, connected to the evolution and changes of this field.
Thus, twenty-two trainee public auditors of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) successfully passed the assessment test. In this context, today, December 10, Marian Lupu, the President of the CoARM and Petru Rotaru, Member of the CoARM, handed over the certificates of public auditor.
The certification of auditors is an important result, which attests to the professionalism of the CoARM’s employees involved in carrying out the external public audit activity.
We mention that the Court of Accounts, according to the Law no. 260 from 07.12.2017, has the obligation to subject to certification the staff with public audit responsibilities The implementation of a certification system of public auditors is an innovative initiative, similar systems are found only in some supreme audit institutions in the world.
