Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction in Moldova

   On 7 April 2009, the management of the Court of Accounts had a meeting with the US Millennium Challenges Corporation mission. The main issues addressed during the meeting regarded the commitments of Moldova to implement the full assistance programme Compact of the Millennium Challenge Corporation in Moldova as well as the financial and audit responsibilities in compliance with the requirements of the Millennium Challenges Corporation.
   The Compact assistance will be provided in the form of a grant under two projects to contribute to speeding up economic growth and poverty reduction that were identified in Moldova based on the principle of maximum economic impact.
   The Millennium Challenges Fund was established by the US Congress in 2004 and provides for substantial financial support to the countries with a low income per capita for their economic development.

Inauguration of new headquarters building of Court of Accounts

The Court of Accounts presented the results of the audits of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development to the Profile Committee
