The standards of professional competence of the auditors of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) present an important reference system for self-assessment of the level of performance of the institution's employees.
The Court of Accounts is finalizing the development of a professional competence framework, which will strengthen the capacity of a public auditor for financial, compliance and performance competencies, as well as his professional development.
Thus, on January 6, during an internal meeting, was discussed the draft document, which will be the foundation of the jurisdiction system established within the Court of Accounts. The document is prepared with the support of the development partners of the Swedish National Audit Office (SNAO), in order to ensure the proper implementation of the objectives set out in the Court of Accounts' Development Strategy for 2021-2025.
The participants in the meeting emphasized that the system of professional skills is a set of tools related to human resource management within a supreme audit institution, being applicable throughout the life cycle of an employee within the organization.
We mention that in 2021 started the Project “Strengthening the institutional, organizational and professional capacities and abilities of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova to work and communicate according to the principles and standards of INTOSAI”. The multilateral support provided by SNAO will allow the institution to strengthen its capacity in the identified areas, including the strengthening of human resources management, which involves the development of the competency framework for the CoARM’s auditors.
