The Court of Accounts and the cooperation partners discussed the progress in the development of the certification program for financial auditors

A new round of discussions in the context of the implementation activities of the Cooperation Project between the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) and the Swedish National Audit Office (SNAO) took place on July 28. The online session was dedicated to discussing the progress made concerning the Component 1: Certification of financial auditors within the project.

Kameran Khudur, Project leader from SNAO, Petru Rotaru, Member of the CoARM, Component leader, as well as the experts and representatives of both institutions evaluated the progress made in the context of the development of the program and the concept of certification of financial authors, a process to be implemented within the CoARM.

We note that the working group on certification, formed within the framework of the CoARM, recently benefited from an exchange of experience and best practices regarding the implementation of the concept of certification of financial auditors, during a tripartite meeting of representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Latvia, Sweden and the Republic Moldova. As a result, some adjustments and changes to the draft concept and certification program have been agreed, which are to be undertaken in the process of finalizing the documents.
