The Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoARM) visited a group of students from the National College of Commerce of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (AESM), held on March 16.
Students of the fourth year of study, "Accounting" specialty, were guided by Natalia Roșca, professor of economic subjects. The aim of the visit was to inform and document the students about the activity of the supreme audit institution in the country.
During the visit, the students met with the members of the Court of Accounts, Petru Rotaru and Tatiana Șevciuc. The officials briefed them on the mission, vision and values of the supreme audit institution in the country. In this context, the students were familiarized with the activity of the Court of Accounts, the objectives and principles of the CoARM.
The CoARM’s members spoke to the students about the specifics of the position of public auditor, responsibilities and attributions, the importance and actuality of the "Accounting" specialty, which they are studying, and the possibilities of employment in the field of work, etc.
In the interactive dialogue, the children asked about the responsibilities of a member of the Court of Accounts, about the opportunities and duties of the position of public auditor, etc.
The guests were informed about the institution's history, received relevant public information regarding the conduct of audit missions, the institution's international activity and external development partners, etc. They also had the opportunity to visit important locations within the institution, such as the CoARM’s museum, the training room, the room where the Audit Report hearings take place.
We mention that it is already a tradition for the representatives of the Court of Accounts to familiarize young people from educational institutions in the country with the activity of the CoARM.
