On July 24, the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova held the first session of a training series dedicated to promoting ethics and organizational values, entitled "The Art of Motivating Employees." The event brought together approximately 35 staff members, including heads of structural subdivisions and public auditors serving as audit team leaders.

Opening the session, Natalia Trofim, Member of the Court of Accounts, emphasized the importance of engagement and shared responsibility within audit teams. She highlighted that strengthening the ability to work effectively together contributes to achieving high-quality professional results, enhancing the understanding of audit work, and reinforcing the institutional image of the Court of Accounts.

The training session was delivered by Angela Zelenschi, PhD, Associate Professor, organizational development trainer, and Vice-Chair of the Court of Accounts’ Ethics Commission.

The training covered key aspects influencing employee motivation, the role of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in achieving performance, the importance of recognizing each team member’s contribution, providing effective feedback, and making objective and fair managerial decisions. Participants also examined how perceptions and cognitive biases can affect decision-making and workplace relationships, while practical models and tools were presented to strengthen leadership based on trust, accountability, and collaboration.

The event was conducted in an interactive format, engaging participants in reflective exercises and practical discussions on managerial challenges encountered in their daily work, as well as on ways to foster team motivation and performance.

The training session forms part of the activities included in the Ethics Commission’s 2026 Activity Plan and contributes to the development of the organizational culture, the strengthening of ethical values, and the enhancement of managerial competencies necessary to improve institutional performance.
