4–5 September 2008. The VIII-th Session of the Council of Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the CIS Member States

   The VIII-th session of the Council of Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the CIS member states will be held in Moscow on 4-5 September 2008. The topic of the session is the “Key National Indicators of Progress and Development of Performance Audit in CIS Member States”. It includes 2 sub-topics: “Role of the Supreme Audit Institutions in the Development and Implementation of the Long-term Social and Economic Development Strategies” and “Use of Key National Indicators in Performance Audit Process”. During the session the participants are also to discuss the establishment of a working group for key national indicators within the Council. A similar group has already been created in the INTOSAI at the proposals of the XIX-th INCOSAI. Mr. S. Stepashin, President of the Russian SAI, was appointed as head of the working group.
