The SIGMA experts talked about the progress of the activities within the assessment, launched on two segments of the peer review exercise, as well as about the necessary additional information presented to the assessors and the arrangements regarding the teleconference interviewing.

We mention that the Court of Accounts undertook the commitment to organize a peer review assessment this year, with the participation of the experts from the supreme audit institutions in Turkey and Latvia and the SIGMA experts. The exercise includes the assessment of the institution’s performance in the selected domains and drafting a report, which will provide the necessary recommendations. The evaluated domains are the independence and the legal framework, the governing, the financial audit and the relation with the stakeholders. In the process of preparing the peer review, the CoARM performed a self-assessment concerning the performance of the institution within the selected activity domains.
