The CoA attended the first meeting of the Group of Auditors for ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Program 2014-2020

On September 19-21, 2018, the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CoA) participated in two meetings organized in Bucharest, Romania in the context of Cross-Border Cooperation Programs. The second meeting of the ENI CBC Program network took place on September 19-20, while the first meeting of the Group of Auditors for the ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Program 2014-2020 - on September 21st, 2018.

The events brought together representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions from Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Turkey and Ukraine. The CoA was represented by Mr. Denis Valac, Head of Performance Audit Division within General Department of Audit of Corporate Economy Management, Information Technologies and Regulatory Authorities and Ms. Tatiana Vozian, Head of Professional Training Division within General Department of Planning, Methodology, Quality Control and Professional Training.

In the context of the meetings, the participants discussed the challenges and problems faced by the states participating in the Cross-Border Cooperation programs in the context of the training session organized by the representatives of the TESIM Project (Technical Assistance for the Implementation and Management of the ENI CBC Programs).

The Joint Operational Black Sea Basin Program 2014-2020 aims at improving the living standards of people in the Black Sea Basin regions through sustainable growth and environmental protection. Thematic objectives of the program are to promote business and entrepreneurship in the Black Sea Basin as well as a coordinated environmental policy and to reduce maritime waste by joint actions in the Black Sea Basin.

In the context of the implementation of Cross-Border Cooperation programs financed under Regulation 232/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a European Neighbourhood Instrument, the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova has assumed its commitments to ensure the audit of the programs as a Group of Auditors.
